We are happy to tell you that today our brand-new album 'Ken Sent Me' is officially released in the Digital world. With a new "Raiders of the lost ark" coming up in 2008, and Nintendo leading the sales charts again it's hard not to feel zapped back to the 80's. We all feel a little bit ashamed to be reminded to a time we all had ridiculous hair, ugly clothes, naive ideals and suicidal tendencies. But boy was it fun!
Our new video "E.T." celebrates the glorious icons of that time: "Pacman", "E.T.", "Back to the future", "Transformers", The A-team.
Let's face it! We all are infected by the 80's.

E.T. is taken from our forthcoming album "Ken sent me" (release 5th june 2007)

Yesss! Today our ET-remix reached the No.1 spot of the download Top 100 of Trackitdown.net. We are very happy !!

We are very, very excited: last week our remix of "ET" (Peplab Classix Treat) has been one of the fastest climbers in the download top 100 of Trackitdown.net, one of the leading donload-stores for clubmusic in the UK. Right now it's on the no. 2 spot! So maybe tomorrow... Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Seems like it's time to give the upcoming release of "Ken sent me" a good kick in the butt.
I just viewed the latest version of the video ET (finally!). Putting this video together was taking such a long time because during the last months the guys of soulbase had a lot of time-consuming surpirises to deal with. I'm not gonna bore you with the details cause the most important fact is that we're gonna have a bright & shiny video very soon now.

We've uploaded all of the previous video's on myspace. Please take a look at those baby's. I had a lot of fun viewing them again. Lot's of barbies, clay, babes and flesh.
Meanwhile the remixes we've made for ET are doing a nice job spreading onto the dancefloors, radio and download charts (no. 1 position in downloads chart "dance-tunes.com").
I'm finishing the artwork of "Ken sent me" right now and I got a lot of inspiration from a Berlin based minimal artist. If it stands the test of time you'll see the result within a couple of weeks.

As you can see we have a new tune in our MySpace player called 'E.T.' And yes, you got that right, it's named after that cute little puppet from the Steven Spielberg movie from the 80's that we all have nostalgic feelings about. Actually, the track you are listening to is a remix of the first single of our forthcoming album: 'Ken sent me'. At the moment we are finishing the production of the video for 'E.T., and hope to show it soon on our website www.peplab.com.
For 2007 the plan is to release this album containing 12 brand new songs: if you like popmusic in the broadest sense, you should check it out, cause you will hear loads of influences of popmusic from the last thirty years. From Bowie to Trevor Horn and from britpop to indie: it's all there, if you listen careful, that is.
We are on the verge of renewing our contract with USA based Neurodisc so next time I hope to give you a release date for the new album.

UK top producer Brian Higgins (Sugababes, Girls Aloud) surprised us with a visit in Amsterdam. He told us he really liked the Peplab sound and asked permission to use the main guitar riff of our song "It's not the drug" as a basis for a new song by UK's no 1 pop-act of this moment "Girls aloud". You can find the splendid result under the name"Graffiti my soul" on their new album which entered the UK-chart at no. 6.
